Spathiphyllum Figaro fills the need for a flowering, dark green, large leaf variety in 10-14 inch pots currently not available today.

This new Dutch Hybrid developed by K.P.Holland features glossy, dark, rich green leaves with large, brilliant white flowers that stay fresh for weeks. Makes a beautiful statement in 8, 10 or 14 inch pots. The effect is outstanding, leaving other varieties looking dull in comparison.

Bernecker's took the lead and began growing trials with Figaro in fall 1999. Moderate numbers of finished 8, 10 and 14-inch plants were released for further testing on job sites earlier this year. The result was that the initial availability sold out quickly.

Figaro displays excellent endurance qualities and has earned a good reputation in Europe with Interiorscapers and Florists. The flowers have superior holding capacity appearing fresh for weeks with plants initiating new flowers while on the job in medium to low light interior environments.

Since Figaro's release in Europe during 1998, it has carved out a significant niche in the "Florist quality" Spathiphyllum Market. Over 200,000 plants grown primarily in 8 and 10 inch pots are used each year by Interiorscapers and for Flower Shop sales across Europe. This award-winning selection received the award for the BEST FLOWERING PLANT at the Dutch Horti-Fair in 1999.
